When trying to decide on what Internet service I would choose for my laptop, I came across a dilemma. I had heard such great things about so many different packages. I did my research on each of the companies and they all had great offers and perks that came with their high-speed Internet.
I also had to take into consideration the area I was in to see what kind of access was offered and if the connection was any good. In addition to Web access, I had to have a really good phone service in order to keep in contact with business colleagues from both at home and cell phone.
Of course my business colleagues all swore by the different services they had, so that was no help to me. It’s really too bad that you can’t try out a company for about a week to see how it works out for you without having to fork out a lot of money. There were so many companies to choose from; Verizon, Qwest, Comcast, etc. All of them had good reviews on what they had to offer. Like I said, I wish I could just have a test run with each of these companies to see which one worked the best.
One thing I did have to take into consideration was the fact that in order to get the best deals, I had to think about adding one more thing to the bundle, and that would be TV services. So basically I would have to make a decision to cancel the present providers I had already or just add on all the other services along with my phone service I already had. Decisions, decisions! Sometimes things just can’t be all that easy to figure out.
I guess I could look at it in the way that I’d have only one bill for all three of these things instead of three different ones. You’ve got to try and be green these days right? Kermit the Frog had it right. It’s not easy being green.
In the end I think I made the right decision. I got great phone service with long distance, the high-speed Internet that I was hoping for that is turning out to be really reliable, and some great choices for channels on my TV with a nice crystal clear, digital picture. Doing your homework usually pays off in the end. It also doesn’t hurt when you’ve already had past pleasant experiences with the company you deal with as well.
